A reunion of descendants of Loyalists who settled the Remsheg Grant (Wallace and area, Nova Scotia) in the mid 1780s following the American Revolution was held in Wallace, June 28 through 30, 2008, at the Wallace and Area Museum, to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the arrival of the Remsheg Loyalists in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia!

Stamp Collectors: The Loyalist Landing 2008 Society in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, has worked with Canada Post to produce a collectible Picture Postage Stamp. This souvenir of the 225th anniversary of the loyalists’ landing is real postage and will always be valued at the current domestic rate which means that letters up to 30 grams will be delivered to any Canadian address, no matter what the letter rate at the time. .
These stamps can be ordered from the Loyalist Landing 2008 Society by E-mail from their web site. The Picture Postage stamp is a self adhesive stamp. Prices: $1.25 each; Keepsake Sheet with 20 Stamps: $30.00; Stamp Sheets (40 stamps): $50.00 (40 x $1.25).
