Clothing - Loyalist Dress - Remsheg Loyalists 225th AnniversaryWant to wear a Loyalist costume, but running out of time to make one - Moirs Costumes & Events in Truro, Nova Scotia, advises me that if you contact them at least a week in advance with your size and what type of outfit you want, they can send you an E-mail with a selection of costumes to chose from. You can order in advance and pick up your outfit in Truro (about 80 km from Wallace towards Halifax). Click on their banner to go to their web site, but don't forget to come back here!

For those thinking of wearing Loyalist dress to the Descendants of Remsheg Loyalists Reunion, our thanks to Catherine Fryer for the following:

Skirt, top, apron, and cap - Butterick 3071.
Petticoat and pockets taken from Butterick B4484.
Chemise and pantaloons - McCall's M4548

She noted that she read somewhere (but can't remember where) that the mob cap isn't necessarily correct.
