Want to wear a Loyalist costume, but running out of time to make one - Moirs Costumes & Events in Truro, Nova Scotia, advises me that if you contact them at least a week in advance with your size and what type of outfit you want, they can send you an E-mail with a selection of costumes to chose from. For those thinking of wearing Loyalist dress to the Descendants of Remsheg Loyalists Reunion, our thanks to Catherine Fryer for the following:

Skirt, top, apron, and cap - Butterick 3071.
Petticoat and pockets taken from Butterick B4484.
Chemise and pantaloons - McCall's M4548

She noted that she read somewhere (but can't remember where) that the mob cap isn't necessarily correct.
